Valentina Prieto’s artistic practice emerges from an interdisciplinary background that combines sound engineering, music composition, vocal studies, and audiovisual storytelling.

Her musical journey began through pre-university classical music training at Unimúsica from Juan N. Corpas University, where she studied classical singing, piano, music theory, sight-singing, and ear training. This early stage strengthened her sensitivity toward listening, vocal interpretation, and the emotional construction of music — elements that continue to be fundamental within her artistic practice.

She graduated in Music and Sound Engineering from El Bosque University, where she developed both a technical and creative foundation in recording, production, composition, and sound design.

Her initial training in classical singing and classical music at Pontifical Xavierian University awakened a deep interest in the human voice as an emotional and narrative tool, which later became a central element in her artistic and sonic work.

Her interest in cinematic storytelling and emotional experiences through sound led her to further specialize through a diploma in Film Music Composition and Orchestration at Pontifical Xavierian University, expanding her practice toward audiovisual projects, immersive experiences, and interdisciplinary works based on memory, identity, and emotional exploration.

Throughout her career, her work has evolved across music composition, sound design, creative direction, and conceptual development for audiovisual, narrative, and artistic projects.

Currently, her practice exists at the intersection of sound, cinema, memory, and interdisciplinary creation.
