Las Paces / EnlazaSur
Sonority
EnlazaSur is a regional initiative focused on strengthening organizations and communities across Latin America by promoting their resilience and long-term sustainability. Its identity is centered on supporting organizations from within their own territorial contexts, strengthening their organizational, strategic and community capacities. Through processes of accompaniment and capacity building, EnlazaSur seeks to empower local organizations to become agents of change, capable of transforming their territories and sustaining their own development processes.
Song composed by the women of MAFAFO as part of the psychosocial project led by
Las Paces and funded by the EnlazaSur – Dejusticia project.
Through the musical scoring and audiovisual treatment, the objective was to emotionally accompany the experience of witnessing and to create an atmosphere capable of sustaining the memory emerging from the song. Beyond documenting an experience, the proposal sought to amplify the process of symbolic reparation developed by the participants, understanding sound as a space for listening, recognition and collective transmission.
The piece is conceived as a sensitive archive built from voice and shared experience: a way of transforming memory into presence and turning the act of singing into a gesture of leaving a trace, preserving stories and building a legacy that engages with the country’s collective memory.
